Bombo, a sports and entertainment production company, required a multifunctional workplace incorporating editing studios, offices and entertaining spaces. Eisner Design’s concept for the film production firm’s headquarters was to create a movie studio complex in microcosm with freestanding editing studios within the larger office complex.
The 6,000-square-foot space evokes the feeling of the classic Hollywood production lot with suggestions of streetscapes, outbuilding and hangars. Large sliding metal doors and polished concrete doors underscore the industrial aesthetic, while visible metal studs and translucent Lexan panels accentuate the feeling of a sound stage. The cube-like editing rooms in red-stained plywood are surrounded by curved, translucent, glazed perimeter office walls that allow light into the spatial core.
